Free-post Friday: Firefly

(Credit to phtographer/artist/etc, found on Pinterest)

I just recently watched Firefly and Serenity for the first time!

I absolutely loved it! It was a beautiful, space-cowboy, steampunk-esque, and emotional show! I loved all of the characters (Inara being my favorite), the music, the fighting, the flying away, the costumes…just beautiful!

No power in the ‘verse can stop me from watching it again sometime…except Reavers…and yes…I heard the Wash joke and IT’LL ALWAYS BE TOO SOON!!!

Who is your favorite character/s?

Monday Review/Bookish Wednesday: Little Women-Louisa May Alcott/Booklight

Monday Review: Little Women-Louisa May Alcott

I enjoyed this historical fiction-period piece, novel. It takes place during the Civil War, where a family goes into poverty and the father leaves to go into war as a priest.

The rest of the family consists of the mother and her four daughters; Jo,Meg,Beth and Amy, and their neighbor (and also heart-throb) Laurie A.K.A.Lawrence.

Their patience is tested as well as surviving in this dark and cold time.

Will their love as a family overcome anything?

Does Laurie find love with one of the sisters?

Will their father come home?

Bookish Wednesday:BookLight

I got this booklight for Christmas this year from my father-in-law!

It is very flexible and dimmable as the sticker says. I really like it!

Free-post Friday: Lord of the Rings Online

I really enjoy this game! I’ve been playing since 2016, because of my husband and love for the books/movies.

The game is very immersive, lots of quests, beautiful music, phenomenal voice acting and much much more, it feels like actually in Middle Earth!

Recently they released a legendary server (subscription only server), where you start from the very beginning and work your way to the end.

In this new server I’ve been playing on, I joined a kin (guild), first one on this game, and I’m really loving the people.

The kin is called Grumpy Old Gits (GOG), now I realize that I am not a old man, but I sure can be grumpy sometimes (being grumpy, old or a git is NOT required, but I just loved the name!). Don’t let the name fool you though, they aren’t as grumpy as you’d think, haha!

If you play the game, what class and race do you play? I’m currently playing a High Elf and Lore Master!

Monday Review: Winnie- the -Pooh-A.A.Milne/Ernest H. Shepard

I have always enjoyed the Winnie-the-Pooh books (including House at Pooh Corner, When we were very young, and Now we are Six).

I liked this book because it’s the first of the series, giving you an introduction to the characters and the world.

Christopher Robin loves his stuffed animals (Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, and Roo), that live in “The Hundred Acre Wood”, and have all sorts of adventures!

My favorite characters have been Kanga and Roo as they are an adorable family!

Monday Review: The Rosewood Chronicles (Book One) – Undercover Princess-Connie Glynn

I really enjoyed the book and I’ve been a fan of the author for a few years now (Youtuber formally known as “Noodlerella” but the channel has been renamed “Connie Glynn”).

The book mainly takes place in England following the lives of two girls; Lottie Pumpkin and Ellie Wolf.

Lottie gets accepted into a prestigious boarding school, Rosewood Hall, which mainly consists of students from royalty, high ranking officials, and of other importance. Lottie is attending Rosewood on a special scholarship for “civilians” that she studied hard for.

Ellie is a Princess who just wants to live a normal life instead of ascending the throne of her kingdom, so she attends Rosewood under a false identity to live a life she’s always dreamed about!

These very different girls wind up being roommates and a friendship blossoms. A rumor begins that our Lottie is the undercover Princess, so the most logical solution to keep Ellie’s secret is to play along!

But no matter what these two newfound friends face, they try to follow Lottie’s personal motto “Be kind, be brave, and be unstoppable”

Will their secret be revealed?

How long will Lottie be a “Princess” before they go in too deep?

Can Ellie have her dream of being normal?

Is Rosewood all it’s cracked up to be or are there secrets behind the elegant walls?
