Free-Post Friday: Top 10 Favorite Vampires

(Disclaimer: Most of these characters come from mature content in video games, television and movies. Please be aware for younger audiences)

From left-to-right:

1. Blade – Blade: He is an awesome half-human and Half-vampire, vampire hunter. His mentor, Whistler, always has the coolest weapons ready for Blade! (Note, that I have only watched the movies but I plan on reading the comics, anime, television show etc.)

2.Alucard – Castlevania Symphony of the Night: Alucard is Dracula’s son (Alucard is Dracula spelled backwards), who wishes to end his tyrant of a vampire father. He encounters many enemies who would stop him but of course they are no match for Alucard.

3.Damon Salvatore-The Vampire Diaries: He is the older brother of Stefan Salvatore. He feeds as he pleases and tends to not see the consequences of his actions until much later, and yet they are justified in a way. However he loves deeply and becomes ‘better’ as time moves on.

4.Selene- Underworld: She is a beautiful bright blue eyed vampire and a werewolf hunter. Her past is sad and winds up knowing the truth much much later in life. She will do anything to protect the ones she loves.

5.David-The Lost Boys: He is very compelling as a vampire, he can make you see anything he wants you to. He even turns one of the characters, by having him drink wine that was actually blood.

6.Rosa- Castlevania 64: She is an innocent vampire. She tends to the castle garden every evening and tries to die as her curse takes over. She is compelled by Death to hurt one of characters but is resurrected as a human later giving her a second chance.

7.Saya- Blood +: She has been alive for many years, at one of her awakenings, she is taken in by an old man and his sons, having no recollections of her past. Her partner of many years, comes to her side and helps her to remember who she is and that her evil twin sister needs to be defeated.

8 Zero-Vampire Knight: He is turned into a vampire and tries his best to not let it consume him, especially to not hurt his friend, Yuki. He hates what he’s become and even starves himself but he eventually gives in and learns how to control his desires.

9. Lestat-Interview with a Vampire: (he did not get interviewed). He is the narrator in the books, and he is very involved with fashion. As time goes on, he seems to be interested in humanity, citing that it’s filled with beauty and death, a savage garden. He and Louis, his long term vampire companion, adopt a dying orphan Claudia and also turn her.

10.Vance-Fallout 3: He is the leader of The Family. He teaches his flock to stay out of harms way but he is a fair leader and doesn’t push his coven to do anything they do not wish to do, and he attacks only when survival is needed.

Monday Review: The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask (Manga) – Akira Himekawa

Just like in the Ocarina of Time Review, this manga takes place in the same time frame as the video game but has a few side stories and Link speaks!

Majora’s Mask takes place after you defeated Ganondorf/Ganon in Ocarina of Time, and you take off in search of a “beloved and invaluable friend”!

A skull kid and his fairies, attack Link, take Epona (your horse), and get cursed to look like a Deku. You have to find the answers you’re looking for, try to find a cure for yourself, help other people, AND stop the world from ending!

There are a few Easter eggs, and creatures/ people who look a lot like others you’ve previously encountered (there are theories out there about these things, but I’m not delving into that).

Can Link save the world AND himself?
