We are almost at the finish line!! Next week will be the end and will be posted on Friday,November 1st, even though the last day falls on a Thursday.
I can’t wait to show you all my colored editions of these, in fact I think I may start those on November 1st as well, a double post! How lucky you all are!!!!
Day 19: Sling – I got inspired by Zelda for this one. I decided to draw a ‘sling’shot!
Day 20: Tread – I thought of the tread of a tire for this one
Day 21: Treasure – I also got Zelda inspiration for this one, and I just had to include a rupee in it!
Day 22: Ghost – I just went simple with this one
Day 23: Ancient – I thought of the pyramids on this phrase.
Day 24: Dizzy – I went with a simple dizzy emoticon.
Day 25: Tasty – nothing is more tasty to me in the morning than my coffee!
I figured since it’s spooky season, I would share a couple of my spooky books, and yes, I did put all my vampire books in one section!
Some of these are books I have yet to read and/or are part of a series that I have yet to finish!
Have you read any of these?
What are some of your favorite spooky books?
This is about a beautiful land but haunted called Tarrytown and then to known as Sleepy Hollow.
Sleepy Hollow’s most haunted tale is th one of The Headless Horseman, a Hessian soldier whose head fell in battle by a cannonball, who roams the hills and roads.
Ichabod Crane, a school teacher, is facinated by all the spooky tales, and even talks about them with the elder ladies of the town, when he is done helping them with household problems in payment for his stay.
Ichabod gets chased by the Horseman, after a jealous man,Brom Bones, tries to keep Crane away from the damsel Karina Van Tassel, whom Crane has an affection for, by doing horrible pranks and sets the Headless Horseman after him!
What happened to Ichabod?
A lot of these were a little difficult but I managed…somehow!
I am enjoying the fact that I’m getting back into my art again and that since I’m going baacI and coloring them in, that are looking FANTASTIC and I can’t wait to share them with you next month!
Day 12: Dragon – this was a bit difficult! I’ve never really been good at drawing dragons but this didn’t turn out too terribly!
Day 13 : Ash – This will look way better when it’s colored in but this was also a difficult piece to draw. I took a little inspiration from “Life Is Strange:Before the Storm” and “Silent Hill”
Day 14: Overgrown – When I thought of the word Overgrown, all I could think of was vines! Then I thought what better way to add some vines, than on an abandoned castle?!
Day 15: Legend – I had a few ideas for this one! I thought of “The Legend of Zelda”, but I thought that might have been an obvious choice for those who know me…so then I went to my next favorite “Legend”, the legend of the “Sword In The Stone” and King Arthur!
Day 16: Wild – I decided to use a single wild flower in a grassy meadow!
Day 17: Ornament – I just went with a simple Christmas ornament for this one.
Day 18: Misfit – I have always resonated with people who are deemed “misfits”, so I used the typical stereotype for this one.
I’m a fan of the Evil Dead franchise especially Army of Darkness, so when I saw this adorable, yes adorable, photo of Ash reading the Necronomicon to children! The horror!!
I also enjoy the fact that it was ‘sponsored’ by S-Mart! So cool!
Klaatu Varada Ni-*cough cough cough*
Day 5- Build: Made me think of building a wall.
Day 6- Husky: obviously I had to a Husky dog. This was a challenge, as I suck at drawing animals!
Day 7- Enchanted: Reminded me of the Enchanted Rose in Beauty and the Beast!
Day 8- Frail: This word made me think of someone dying. She is in the hospital with an IV bag and monitors. I even tried to make little details, like she’s just skin and bones.
Day 9- Swing: I made a tree swing!
Day 9- Pattern: Butterflies have lots of patterns, so I thought this was a perfect opportunity!
Day 11- Snow: I figured a “Snow”globe would be very fitting for this theme.
How many of you are doing this, this year?
I may try it and see how it goes! I’ve never done a bookish bingo before, would be interesting!
(MATURE CONTENT WARNING)
I watched the anime adaption but never read the manga so I thought I’d give it a go.
This manga is about a notebook that a death god dropped into the mortal realm.
The notebook is picked up by Light Yagami, a student, who soon learns that this is no ordinary notebook! A list of rules are found within, but basically, any person who’s name is written in it, will die.
Light decides to use this new power to rid the world of evil-doers. When people start mysteriously dying, the police get involved and start trying to fgure out wwho is behind it.
Will Light continue to use his power in this way or will he become the every thing he wants to rid the world of?
Will Light be found out and face the consequences or will the power go to his head?
I decided to do Inktober this year, just to sort of force myself to draw again.
I am working on the offical prompts and may do the Bestheda (video game company, who makes Fallout,Elder Scrolls, and others) one they put out as well.
This month I will be showing off the official prompts WITHOUT color, then if you guys want to see what they look like with color, I will post those NEXT month!
Without further ado, here is Day 1: Ring. I decided to go with a simple finger ring!
Day 2: Mindless. I interpreted that as a zombie!
Day 3: Bait. I thought a spider and her new catch would suit this word.
Day 4: Freeze. I tried my best to make an ice cube that is starting to melt.
Does anyone else run into this problem? I know I do!
Then you have to make the dreaded choice…do I stop now and try to get some sleep or do I stay up and be all grumpy in the morning?
What do you do?
